In late 2010, we were commissioned to execute precast RC piles for 21 engineering structures for the project "Design and Construction of Motorway A2 Stryków – Konotopa, section A from km 365+261,42 to km 394+500". At the beginning of this year we started the installation of 40x40 test piles with lengths ranging from 7m to 22m. Upon the performance of load tests for 12 structures, the lengths of the final piles were optimized, which allowed for decreasing the planned volume of works by nearly 20 percent. In total, 57 static and over 150 dynamic load tests were performed. At the peak of the works, in May 2011, 11 piling teams were working at the same time, partly in two shifts, installing as many as over 20,000lm of piles during one month only.
